HCR104fm supports Town Outdoor Music Festival this Saturday

HCR104fm will be present at a new major youth music festival in Coneygear Park this Saturday. The event launches at 12 Noon, is free and has been put together by Huntingdon Town Youth Council with support from Huntingdon Town Council and the Oxmoor Community Action Group.  Billed as Huntingdon Outdoor Music Festival 2012, a number of local youth solo artists and bands are scheduled to perform, including : Lost?, Marty Jackson, Tu Amore, Roses of Humanity, Hopes and Fear, plus Fire Sky, Abi Witham and other sets to be confirmed.

There will be food vendors, stalls, a bouncy castle and as the organisers put it "plenty of family fun" A spokesperson for Oxmoor Community Action Group told HCR104fm, "All too often the youth of Huntingdon and the Oxmoor area in general get unfairly tarnished with a "negative" image. This fabulous event organised by young people themselves active on Huntingdon Town Youth Council, shows quite the opposite, in that that our local young people are very positive, creative and care a lot about their community. Events like this also help to dispel the negativity about community life on the Oxmoor".

As THE local community radio station for Huntingdonshire, HCR104fm is delighted to be involved, and a number of station presenters including Ray Godby the weekday Breakfast host and Production Manager, and David Brockman of Sunday Supplement and Over to You, plus many of the back room team will be at the event.  Live interviews with bands and performers will be conducted throughout the afternoon and put out on air on 104fm locally and on line here at hcrfm.co.uk - see the "Listen Live" link.

The event is FREE and all will be welcome, so come and enjoy some great youth music and entertainment, while at the same time finding out more about HCR104fm, meeting the team and taking a programme schedule and some car stickers away with you.
