Huntsford soap auditions
24th February 2010
Wavelengths Productions, the drama producing arm of HCRfm, is busy getting “Huntsford” (to our knowledge the UK’s only community radio soap drama) ready for when we go to air later this spring. However, what do all Soaps need? A CAST!
Scott Andrews, who is directing Huntsford, explains “We are looking to cast various male and female characters of varying ages into roles of varying sizes. No experience necessary. The level of commitment depends on the size of the role. Have you always fancied having a go at acting? Maybe you already “tread the boards” and fancy something different? Maybe you long to perform but the thought of appearing live before an audience fills you with dread? Do you fancy trying your voice in a radio drama?”
“Huntsford is set in Wavelengths hair salon in a town very similar to Huntingdon and will follow the good times and bad times of the people. We know this soap drama is going to be a great project and are keen for members of the local Huntingdon community to take part. We therefore look forward to receiving your audition, initially by phone, with later live auditions for those who pass to the next stage”, explained Scott.
In addition, writers keen to join our team may contact Caroline Barratt at caroline.barratt@hcrfm.co.uk
