Chris Gidman
Chris started at HCR in 2006 as part of a Student Scheme to get the Youth more involved in the Community, he has been the longest student running with HCRfm. Chris is the Student Representative at HCRfm, he helps to encourage more students to take part on this great radio station. He is also the Student Leader, encouraging the young volunteers to do as much as they can on air and off air!
He is currently studying Film and Media Studies at Anglia Ruskin University and is hoping to be in a career that involves making films and/or becoming part of a radio station. Lucky enough HCRfm came around and found him!!
Chris hopes that his involvement at HCRfm could encourage more young people to take part within the media industry. He believes that the youth are always reported as bad news in the media and he sets out to change this image to the public, hence the reason he's in charge of the Student Volunteers!
What would be your idea of a perfect day?
No work, no hassle, just me, my fabulous girlfriend on a nice sunny day somewhere nice. If she's not around then just playing with my friends via Xbox 360/PS3 all day will be fine. Or if video games is out of the question watch some action superhero films all day.
What would be a nightmare day?
Going to work, lots of hassle, being annihilated on his Xbox 360/PS3 by his fellow student team members from the Student Group.

What makes you laugh?
My brother personally we used to steal snacks from the kitchen at night time but it took us an hour to get it because we just couldn't stop laughing at the most pointless things.
What is in your CD player at home at them moment?
CD's still exist?! I listen like any other student would, on an mp3/ipod. I usually listen to soundtrack music from films and video games. Not just singing music but just pure instrumental music too!!
What would you do if you didn't do radio?
I would make films about superheroes!!
What would you change about yourself if you could?
Well I always wanted to be bitten by a radioactive spider…
What is your biggest fear?
VERY big heights, I can do roller coasters, etc. but I am not EVER going on the SkyCoaster, Kissimmee, Florida, USA. I don't think my stomach could handle it.
Did you grow up locally?
I was born and bred here in Huntingdon.
What do you love most about Huntingdonshire?
The people, I know so many people and want to know some more!
