Joining HCR104fm in August 2011 put a major tick on my bucket list of things to do Presenting on HCR104fm, corny as it sounds it is really is an honour. To be invited and allowed to do this is a big wow for me. I cannot thank Bill and the team enough for giving me the opportunity and of course their time.

As one of my fellow presenters succinctly puts it “It is one hell of a train set

What is in your CD player at home at the moment?

My CD player is in the loft so I guess dust. My music taste is really broad I certainly do love Soul, Jazz Funk and Dance. Then again I like Yello, Art of Noise, Pink Floyd and Queen. In the 80’s I just loved Tears for Fears, Talking Heads and Talk Talk. Time moves on and so does music. Music should not be put into age groups every track is a work of art for someone to enjoy. My heart is and always will be in Soul and Motown, early days doing disco’s got me hooked on it but the new is always very exciting too.

What would you change about yourself if you could?

I would love to play a musical instrument many a frustrated deeply felt chord has been played on the air guitar with passion…. you all do it, own up!

What is your biggest fear?

Dentists, I apologise to all dentists out there but why does it always hurt?

Did you grow up locally?

My father was in the RAF. I was born at RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire. At 18 months old the family was posted to Cyprus returning to RAF Wyton in 1959 when I was just 4. I attended Houghton infant’s school and Huntingdon County Juniors before Going to St Peters Secondary Modern then on to Huntingdon Regional College. I met my wife here, got married here, my children live here and I love it here.

What advice would you give to anyone?

Your life is not a dustbin so don’t fill it with rubbish.
