Cllr Patrick Kadewere appeals for Winter Warmers

Cllr Patrick Kadewere, founder of the Huntingdonshire Community Group COVID-19 Response Team, has sent out a plea for knitted Winter Warmers via his facebook page as the group has been contacted by people requesting these items.

The Cambridgeshire Library Service are advertising for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting or sewing to make and donate hats, scarves, lap blankets and baby clothes for people who are in need.   Libraries are the collection points and the first collections will be between 9th & 14th November, items can be left at Ramsey, Huntingdon, St Neots or St Ives during their usual opening times ONLY.  Unfortunately due to Co-Vid restrictions donations cannot be accepted at any other times.

PLEASE DO NOT DELIVER YOUR ITEMS BEFORE THESE DATES AS THEY CANNOT BE STORED.

There will be another collection period later in the year so keep a look out for details.   Please leave items in bags clearly marked with “Winter Warmers”.
