A new charity fundraising group has been set up in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, to help fund research and treatment in the fight against muscular dystrophy.
The group, Stronger in Numbers, is a local branch of the nationwide Muscular Dystrophy UK charity, and its members either have muscular dystrophy or have friends and family who live with the condition. They will be organising fundraising events in and around St Ives in the coming weeks and months to raise funds to help those living with a muscle-wasting condition.
The group’s first event is an 80s and 90s themed disco at the Corn Exchange on October 19th running from 8pm until 1am. As well as iconic hits from two decades of unforgettable music, a licensed bar and a prize raffle draw.
Tickets cost £5 in advance (£7 on the door) and are available from the Corn Exchange or online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/good-life-presents-80s-v-90s-charity-night-tickets-70796224413
