The Allergies, Tramp Records and Craig Charles

The Soul and Motown show has been very busy these past few weeks, presenter Jamie Stocker was invited by the team at BBC 6 Music to take part in a regular feature by Craig Charles on his Funk and Soul Show “Spinage Au Trois” picking three of his favourite tracks. Jamie said “the chance to take part in this was a total surprise and thoroughly enjoyed the chat with Craig. I was really pleased that following the segment Craig allowed me to promote the station and my own show which was nice gesture”

Jamie’s three songs were Sam & Dave “Hold On, I’m Coming”, Bill Withers “Use Me” and The Beginning of the End “Funky Nassau”, the show can be found below and Jamie can be heard from around 6:45pm.


Roy Spencer for the duo The Allergies were featured guests on the Soul and Motown show on Monday 20th April. Based in Bristol, Roy and Adam have been producing a unique sound for themselves using unknown samples and giving them a new lease of life. Recently making mainstream radio playlists with their latest single “Felony.” The Allergies new album will be released in the Summer.

Jamie has also recently been speaking to Tobias the owner of Tramp Records, based in Munich, Germany. Tobias seeks out hard to find, rare tracks and reissues them on Vinyl and Digital formats for a new audience. Running the Record Label is a hobby for Tobias and gets a lot of pleasure from finding these tracks and building the compilations.
