We add 5 new shows to our schedule

With more and more people tuning into radio during this current crisis, radio continues to keep listeners informed and safe whilst keeping spirits high and putting a smile on the face of listeners. 77% of radio listening is done in the home, and it means that there is a greater need to keep Huntingdon and the surrounding areas entertained and informed, whilst our audience enjoy our company from the comfort of their own homes.

We are pleased to announce that from Monday 11th May, we add 5 new shows to our schedule, with increased presenter presence, this gives greater choice to our growing audience.

The new shows include Early Breakfast from 6am, on both Weekdays and Weekends hosted by Mark Box, Pete Sibthorpe and Dave Shepherd – allowing those early birds to wake up with familiar voices every day. For those waking up even earlier than that, we look forward to having you join us for ‘Start the Day’, 7 days a week, from 4am – hosted by Sue Rodwell Smith, Tim Latham, Mike Haines, Peter Rogers, Mike Wing, Alex Parnell and Bill Hensley.

Also included in the new line up, for those still awake into the early hours, ‘Into the Night’ brings a mix of music and entertainment from a panel of experienced presenters including Tony Obee, Vernon Hazard, Jamie Stocker, Victoria Parchment and Matt Shaw. Pete Singleton also hosts a weekend edition called ‘After Dark’ – a must listen for those later evenings when you don’t need to wake up early the next day.

If you have a favourite decade of music, why not check out our new overnight show sandwiched in between those other great shows, aptly named ‘The Decade in the Middle’. Hosted by John Rea starting us off in the 50s, to Mike Wing (60s), Peter Cleghorn (70s), Pete Sibthorpe (80s), Paul Chapman (90s), Colm O’Rourke (00s) and ending up most recently with Isaac Brindley on the Teenies – this eclectic mix of shows takes us back to a decade gone by, reliving the news and hits from that era.

We look forward to having you join us for one (or maybe all) of our new shows from Monday, and you can view the full on air schedule here.
