Chris started his radio career at Hinchingbrooke Hospital Radio here in Huntingdon 25 years ago. Within a month or two, Ray (Godby) and Bill (Hensley) spotted Chris’ talent and added him to the team at HCRfm for the RSL’s that were carried out in the run up to the fulltime licence. Around the RSL’s, Chris gained qualifications in media and journalism before spending time with Hereward FM/Heart, Lite FM, Connect FM, Rutland Radio, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and KLFM. He joined the management team at HCR104fm as Head of Programming/News and became a Director whilst putting together the application for the fulltime licence. When HCR104fm won the full time licence Chris moved on to focus on his career as a Radio & Media Tutor. Recently he held down the role of Head of Programming at a local station in Peterborough but now he has returned to the station that he calls ‘home’, HCR104fm.
Off air Chris enjoys spending time with his family. This could be days out at the coast or a zoo, or simply just having a leisurely walk around Hinchingbrooke Park.
