Huntingdon’s Market Square is set to wrap up the summer in style with the final       Sunset Beats & Bites of 2025 on Friday 22nd August. After three fantastic evenings of live music, mouth-watering street food, and a buzzing community  atmosphere, this last event promises to be the perfect summer send-off.

Jointly organised by Huntingdon Town Council and Huntingdon First, this year’s  programme marked the third year of the popular event and for the first time it was expanded to four dates across the summer, starting earlier than ever before.

The previous three events have been a huge success, with the Market Square trans-formed into a hub of live music, delicious local street food and warm community spirit.Crowds have enjoyed performances from talented local artists including Charlie and Rehanna and 2nd Chance,  while fantastic food traders from Yorkshire pudding wraps and Caribbean street food to artisan crepes and Scotch eggs have delighted visitors and showcased the best of local independent business.

The finale promises to be no different, with another line-up of amazing local food traders and live music creating the perfect start to the Bank Holiday weekend.  Taking place from 4pm to 9pm in Huntingdon Market Square, the free-to-attend event offers the chance to lax in deckchairs, soak up the summer atmosphere and enjoy one last taste of this year’s Sunset Beats & Bites before the series takes a break until 2026.  .

Cllr Amanda Norton, Chair of the Estates, Amenities and Community Committee at  Huntingdon Town Council, said: “This year’s Sunset Beats & Bites has been our biggest and best yet, with more dates, more music and more people coming together in the heart of our town. The final event on 22nd August will be a fantastic way to celebrate the summer and support our local traders. We hope to see the Market Square full of people enjoying everything our community has to offer.”

Paul Sweeney, Town Centre Manager at Huntingdon First, added: “The success of   Sunset Beats & Bites is a great example of how our town is thriving.  We are proud to work in partnership with Huntingdon Town Council to bring people together, show-case independent business and keep the Market Square vibrant and relevant for residents and visitors alike.”
