I was born and raised in Luton, Bedfordshire working on the railways for most of my working life. I was invited to a hospital radio studio when I used to work in St Albans. It was from that point that I wanted to be part of this wonderful voluntary role.
My change of work location meant that I had to give up my position on the radio, but always knew that it was something that I wanted to get back into once the opportunity became available.
I joined Hospital Radio Lynn at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn and still present two shows a week. The opportunity was there to join HCR 104fm and was excited with the prospect through my love for radio.
My hobbies include watching sport (too old to play now) I also have a passion in writing and was a self-publisher. I enjoy walking, reading and watching a good movie. I love music, a huge fan of the 80’s and enjoy going to live concerts. My music tastes cover a huge range of interest as I have been to see the likes of Michael Jackson and more recently Andre Rieu. My favourite band is T’Pau of which I have been to see many times. I am a collector and still a great lover of vinyl although my CD collection has now exceeded that.
The first vinyl single that I purchased with my own money was Heart of Glass by Blondie and still sits proudly in my collection.
I enjoy travelling around the UK and seeing new places. Enjoy spending time with my family, going out for meals and spending time by the coast.
