We shall be carrying out our first butterfly and dragonfly surveys of the year today. If the weather is favourable there should be plenty of spring butterflies around, with the possibility of some early damselflies and dragonflies as well.
The surveys will start from the visitor centre at 11.00 and 1.30.
This is a friendly group of members. If you are interested in coming along, please contact friends@paxton-pits.org.uk for more information. You do not need to be an expert to join us.
You can find our full survey programme for 2024 here New tab.
Visitors are advised to wear suitable clothing for outdoor events with strong boots or shoes, and hats in the summer sun.
Come and join us for an Acoustic Night with Paul McClure and Thor in the Arts Cafe!
