Huntingdon Town Council are excited to welcome you to an inspiring event celebrating women in local government, as part of International Women’s Day.
Our Women in Local Government Talk will take place on Friday 8th March 2024, in the Assembly Room of Huntingdon Town Hall, Market Square, High St, Huntingdon PE29 3NR at 7.00pm. On-site parking will be available.
Come and listen to our panel of inspiring women speaking about their experience within local government, as both elected members and as staff.
There will be a keynote speaker, Cllr Georgie Hunt, speaking about her journey to becoming a Town Councillor and why it is important to #InspireInclusion.
This will be followed by a panel discussion with Cllr Ann Blackwell (Huntingdon Town and Huntingdonshire District Councillor), Cllr Padrica Kennington (Huntingdon Town Councillor and former Deputy Mayor) and Michelle Sacks, Chief Executive of Huntingdonshire District Council. There will also be time for Q&A, followed by refreshments.
