Farm Hall by Katherine Moar @ The Commemoration Hall
Jul 19 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Huntingdon Drama Club present “Farm Hall” by Katherine Moar.

FARM HALL, which dramatizes the true story recorded inside the bugged walls of a country house in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. In summer 1945 six of Nazi Germany’s top nuclear scientists are detained by the allied forces at Farm Hall. Shut off from the outside world, they pass the time with board games, a broken piano and a battered copy of Blithe Spirit. Then comes the shattering news that the Americans have succeeded where the Germans have failed – not only have they built an atomic bomb but they have used one against Japan.

Saturday 20th July matinee additional performance.

Musical Charity Show @ St Ivo Academy
Jul 20 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

11year old Jess Stanley has organised a fundraising charity show at the St Ivo Academy in aid of the Dreamflight charity which funds flights to America that takes children with a serious illness or disability on their holiday of a lifetime to Orlando. The experience can be life-changing and gives young people an opportunity to do something that medicine can’t: discover independence, confidence and a new outlook.

Jess has set up an afternoon of fundraising from 1pm to 3pm

The youngsters of the Stagecoach Performing Art School will be performing a 20 minute adaptation of “The Beauty and the Beast” and there will be snacks, cakes, drinks and a raffle. Jess will be singing. The doors will open at 12 noon.   There will also be fun for everyone.    Jess is aiming to raise £3,000 for the Dreamflight Charity.  Do support her this young person who wants to help this wonderful children’s charity.  Tickets for the event are just £5 and can be purchased from Ticket Source.

Do check out the event on the “Just Giving” website www.justgiving.com/page/jess-stanley
